Daddies Princess

I am deffinetly a cat guy.  I do love our two dogs (both rough collies), but my heart belongs to Pearl.  She is something special when I am in a bad mood.  Right now she is sleeping all curled up on the back of the couch.  She knows the right times to be snugglie with her dad.  She will come up starting rubing against me and start to purrr and that makes life all better.

End of The Year

Ok, so it is almost end of the year.  I think two things are going to major for me the first of the year.  The first one is weight lost and getting in shape.  The other is thinning down of what I use online and tools I use in my life.  The only thing now I really need is a new camera.  That is coming soon I hope.

QotD: The Name Game

If you had to choose a new name for yourself, which name would you pick?

Well, concidering that my real name is richard j smith which is such a common name.  I have often thought about it and as a part-time performer Id love to change my name to Travis James.  Mainly because it isn't a common name and sounds like a good stage name for magic.  Infact I am thinking of using it for my new act I am working on starting the first of the year.  I am wanting to get back into magic so badly.  I am getting the magic bug again.

My name is Richard and I am an Ipod Addict

Good morning,

I thought this morning I would write about how I have been without my Ipod for a month now and I am going through Ipod withdrawal.  My original Ipod died because it got hit my static shock.  So I did the 3-5 day rapid exchange.  But that Ipod I got back ended up with a pixelation problem where there was an etch sketch type line through the screen; not very good for watching video. But the guys at Best Buy tell me that, because it is the second time they close out the first account by batching them instead of individual which really sucks.  This means that I now may not get my replacement Ipod until the first of the year which totally sucks considering I use my Ipod every day listening to and watching podcasts.  The only good out come of this whole thing is that if there is an issue with this one then I get an equivalent Ipod to the 5th gen that I have; which is the 80 gig Ipod classic.  So part of me is hoping for it to be bad, but yet I don't want to wait any longer for my Ipod.  I need it.

Old-time Radio Day

  • Dec 11, 2008
  • Post a comment

I have a day off today and the most I have done is dishes and also folded laundry.   Also I am having some fun digitizing old-time radio shows from cassettes to Mp3.  Shh..........I checked these shows out from my library.  I love adding to my collection.  Now I just need to catalog it all.

QotD: Laundry Day

  • Dec 10, 2008

How often do you do laundry? Do you have your own washer and dryer or do you have to leave your home?

I do laundry about every two or three days.  This is just regular clothes not including the bedding I do that once a week.

We own are own house so we own are own washer and dryer.  Sure beats apartment living.  When I lived in an apartment we had to schedule laundry early morning on days off when everyone went to work. You also have to be specific on times and make sure you have enough quarters.
